A softer landing in Denmark.

Gethsemane Foundation is a Christian non-profit association founded in Copenhagen in 2025. Our integration work grows out of Christian compassion and is open to everyone.

We support newcomers through free Danish lessons, practical information sessions, personal guidance and a welcoming community where people find confidence, language and belonging.

Our vision

A community where newcomers in Denmark find safety, language and belonging.

02

Our mission

Through free classes, information sessions and personal guidance we help people navigate Danish society and settle into everyday life.

03

Why we started

Many newcomers leave official language courses because of work schedules and pressure. We offer a practical, flexible alternative built around community.

In their own words

What participants say.

For me, this association has truly been a lifeline. I had enrolled in official Danish language courses several times before, but because of my work schedule I could never keep up and eventually had to quit. Here everything feels completely different. There is no pressure at all. Instead you are surrounded by people who share the same values, similar life experiences and common goals. It feels like a community rather than just a language class. Every Thursday I look forward to our lessons, because I know I will not be judged. I leave feeling inspired instead of exhausted.
